We take our eLearning with a side of complimentary lunch, please!
The term is in full-swing, and here at the Teaching Support Centre, we’re planning a new suite of eLearning Lunch and Learn sessions. Faculty and staff from across campus are invited to join us for sessions about emerging ideas at the intersection of technology and education.
The eLearning Lunch and Learn is hosted by Dr. John Doerksen, Office of the Vice-Provost (Academic Programs) in conjunction with the Teaching Support Centre (TSC). We invite faculty members and eLearning enthusiasts from across campus to share ideas for integrating technology into their curriculum. Past participants have appreciated the focus on applications of technology by colleagues from right here on campus. One anonymous participant noted: “I have tried and used many of the tools that have been shown. It is great to see how creative other faculty members are in the classroom, and gives me courage to try out new ideas.”
Past topics have included teaching beyond PowerPoint, open educational resources, and creating interactive learning objects. This academic year, you can look forward to sessions on instructional videos, lightboards, ePortfolios, and digital collaboration tools.
We look forward to seeing you at the eLearning Lunch and Learn event. For more details and to register, visit the eLearning Lunch and Learn event page. You can also get in touch with Lauren Anstey (email@example.com) to request access to the OWL site or to be added to the list-serv so you never miss an event.
